What is Miles Away From Home?

Miles Away From Home is a podcast created for university students in Toronto but can expand to a wider audience and reach individuals that are overwhelmed with adjustments and new beginnings.

Intention

The animated opening sequence of Miles Away From Home sells the experience and assurance of community even if the viewer feels like everyone and everything around them is overpowering and new.

This way the top three fears of international students are addressed. These fears are fear of judgement, fear of missing out and fear of failure.

Design

Words spiral and fill the screen as the unknown voice admits to being confused, a feeling many can relate to.

As it fades, a crowd of people begin to form in front of the city skyline speaking out different languages creating a sense of community and belonging amongst a variety of cultures.

Finally, the call to action about listening to the podcast introduces a sense of relief and comfort to assure the listener and viewer that they are not alone.
